The Great Ship Home Theater
The client, an avid fisherman, requested to have a home theater with nautical décor and state of the art audio and video equipment. The challenge of the project was to ensure that not only was the room ingenious, but that it met the near-studio audio quality requirements of the homeowner.
The resulting room replicates an elegant captain’s quarters of a great ship with mahogany walls and ceilings. Additional unique details and trims were added such as the grates in the ceiling lined with black fabric and lit from behind by small LED lights to look like stars in a night sky and the four brass portholes on the wall with flat screens behind to put an ocean image or video. All these whimsical features give the true sense of being on the ocean.
